Prenatal Support:
I prioritize building a deep connection with my clients, ensuring I am available beyond the initial meetings to address any concerns or questions that may arise throughout the pregnancy.
Utilizing my background in herbalism, I provide tailored, herb-based recommendations to support your body’s unique needs throughout pregnancy. I am available by email for any pregnancy related issues that arise.
Two prenatal meetings to understand your birth preferences, concerns, and expectations.
Information on physical comfort and positioning techniques to help manage discomfort and pain during pregnancy and labor. We can practice movements to help improve relaxation and preparing the body for birth
Receive personalized assistance in creating a birth plan tailored to your unique needs, along with comprehensive guidance on various baby planning logistics, such as birth bag preparation, hospital checklists, arrival home, birth registry, and newborn care considerations.
Birth Assistance:
On-call to attend your labor starting from two weeks prior to your estimated due date until two weeks after. Although with communication I am flexible.
Continuous presence during labor, offering comfort, reassurance, and encouragement.
Assistance with pain management techniques, such as breathing exercises, movement, massage, positioning and fun little brain distractions.
Advocacy for your birth preferences and effective communication with healthcare providers.
If applicable, support for partners and involvement in the birthing process if desired.
Postpartum Care:
Two postpartum visits. First visit within first few days home to help with a smooth transition for both you and your baby. I provide non-medical guidance on postpartum recovery, newborn care, and chestfeeding/breastfeeding.
Personalized postpartum care to fit your needs. We discuss what is concerning/important to you and go from there. This becomes the priority. I can provide herb based suggestions to discuss with your midwife or doctor.
Receive compassionate support to process and reflect on your birth, promoting emotional healing and understanding. If a partner is involved, we can incorporate their perspective to enhance communication and mutual support.
Referrals to local resources, if needed, such as lactation consultants, acupuncturists, mental health providers or support groups.
Logistics:
I am a birth doula located in Kingston, NY, starting with a 30 mile travel radius. I know upstate is spread out and it can be hard to find birth support. I will therefore travel further than this distance with a potential additional fee.
I go to all hospitals, birth centers and home births in the greater Hudson Valley, NY area.
Birth Doula Fee, $2,000.
